The Avoca Beach Surf Life Saving Club was established in 1929 and over the years has had a long and proud tradition in patrolling, competition and community involvment.
Our present Club House was completed in 2005 with the support of Gosford City Council, and is in fact the third Club house the Club has had.
Avoca Beach Surf Life Saving Club patrols the beach from October through to late April each year with voluntary patrols on the weekends and public holidays. On week days during this period the beach if patrolled by Gosford City Life Guards.
We are one of the largest and oldest Clubs on the Central Coast, with the following memberships
Nippers - must be five years and older to U14s
Cadet, Junior Active, and Active Memberships for those over the age of 14.
As life saving is the core busisness of the Club, our Members are encouraged to do their bronze medallion and assist with patrols.
Associate Memberhip is also available for those over the age of 35 who wish to be involved with the Club in a non patrolling capacity.
Our Club colours are blue, green and gold and are worn with pride.
